The differenz betwen Rhodesian Ridgeback and Thai- Ridgeback ?                              

Here goes to the differences in the "Ridge"


First once we would like to stress, which consists this side on the one hand of facts (e.g. DS, size of, appearance, Ridgeformen etc.), on the other hand however of the own observation and the daily Miteinanders of our two animals, our Rhodesian Ridgeback dog “Kianga” and our Thailand Ridgeback Rüden Ao-Jai. 

We would not like with the differences on the exact size, which exact behavior etc. are received. These facts find you over the Thai Ridgeback on this side in other place, over the Rhodesian Ridgeback e.g. on our side nakia rr.de. 

With security other owners of dog made other experiences. But this is our experience here!
Briefly in front now some fundamental observations on our part!
Hearing on command does not seem to be at both races straight their strength.
In the house they are rather calmly, outside very active. Both races have the genetic burden of the Dermoid sine by their Ridge, briefly DS

Worin unterscheiden sich denn nun der RR und Thai?  

  1. An immediately visible difference is naturally the size of, a Thai remains substantially easier and smaller
  2. The RR has hanging ears, the Thai standing ears.
  3. Slin colors: A RR there is only in light wheat colors to red wheat colors, a white chest mark is permitted. The Thai against it must be in-colored, red, black, silver-blue and Fawn colors.
  4. The Ridge is a further difference

Der RR  

No protection dog training for the RR. Who does not consider this, plays with the RR with the fire.
It then hardly is to controlling.
But also without protection dog training it has a sixth sense for dangers and becomes also without training to its family.
It is a full intelligent dog, which can do actually everything. 2 meters fence are not for it an obstacle.  
It is more stable and more balanced after our observation in its nature.

Its age: 11 to 14 years.

Intended purpose: Awake dog, family dog, hunt for game.

The Thai

The Thai is not optimally adapted to a life in our society as a typical clock dog.
That makes it a not very simple dog. It is stubbornly in addition, at the same time sensitive.
The Thai knows, what it wants and will test also again and again, as far it comes or may go. Which us at the Thai its expression behavior is fascinated.
It has a very large repertoire at physical and acoustic signals.
